How to Register

These registration instructions below are for noncredit students in UWPCE certificate programs, specializations and courses.

Registration Steps

UWPCE is transitioning to a new online registration system, Modern Campus. Registration processes vary depending on when you started your program.

If You're a New Student (Fall 2026 or later)

 Register-Only Programs & Courses

  • Register for your first course directly from the program or course page

  • Register for future courses through the UW Continuum College student portal.

Programs or Courses That Require an Application

  • Apply from the program or course page on this website

  • After acceptance, register for all courses through the UW Continuum College student portal

Registration Deadline

Register at least seven days before your class starts.

Registration Receipt

  • After you submit your registration and payment, you’ll receive a receipt by email

  • You can also access your receipt in the UW Continuum College student portal under My Account History

Registration Policies

Payment Policy

Full payment is due at the time of registration. 

The only exceptions are for students planning to pay by:  

  • Third-party payment (e.g., someone else is paying, such as your employer)

  • Wire transfer

  • Bank check or money order (by mail or in-person)

If you choose one of these methods, you'll be prompted with next steps during registration.

Payment is considered past due 15 days after the invoice date, and a financial hold will be placed on your student account.

Nonpayment does not drop you from a course. To drop, follow the instructions on Drops, Withdrawals & Refunds.

Cancellation Policy

If your program is canceled, we’ll notify you as soon as possible using the email address on file. You’ll receive a full refund to your original payment method.

If you prefer to transfer to another course, email c2reg@uw.edu within two business days. Transfers may not be possible after the refund has been issued.
