Applied UX Design

About This Course

This course builds on the design thinking skills you gained in the previous course, with a focus on the prototyping phase of the UX design process. You’ll begin by learning to conduct stakeholder and user research and create a feature definiton. We’ll then dive into information architecture, looking at content structure, organizing schemes, labeling, search and navigation. You’ll create flow diagrams for content layout and discover how to map the user journey, then use sitemaps and wire framing to create high-fidelity prototypes with Figma to test and evaluate designs.

What You’ll Learn

  • The UX differences between websites, web apps and native apps

  • Components of information architecture and hierarchy

  • Ways to evaluate information architecture using wireframes, user research and flow diagrams

  • Accessibility features for visually impaired and mechanically challenged users

  • How to use Figma to plan, communicate, evaluate, wireframe and prototype

Get Hands-on Experience
