Specialization in Business Analysis

Bridge the Gap and Solve Complex Business Challenges

About This Program

A business analyst is the quintessential problem solver. The business analyst’s job is to distill problems into their root causes so an organization can find meaningful solutions. These solutions can impact all aspects of the business, including processes, technologies, metrics and people. To be effective, a business analyst must have strong critical thinking, analytical and communication skills, as well as the technical and interpersonal savvy to facilitate change across an organization.

In this two-course specialization program, you’ll learn the day-to-day methodology of the business analyst. We’ll cover the core knowledge areas and vocabulary that business analysts use in their work. Drawing from real-world examples, you’ll define an organizational business problem and gather requirements, then develop and implement solutions. You’ll learn how to select the solution that best addresses business objectives while reducing risk and develop the business case for change. And you’ll complement your industry knowledge with communication strategies that will help you resolve conflicts and build consensus.
